Paryatan Parv ( 5 October to 25 October 2017)

The  Ministry  of Tourism,  Government of  India,   in  collaboration with  other Central Ministries and  State Governments is organizing  "Paryatan Parv" (Tourism Festival) across the country from the 5th  to 25th October 2017. Paryatan Parv draws   focus  on  the benefits  of  tourism,  showcasing  the  cultural diversity  of India and  reinforces the principle of "Tourism for All".

As part of Paryatan Parv, Embassy of India in Cairo is organizing an online Photo-quiz Competition and Online Photography Competition from 9-20 October 2017. The contests are open to everyone residing in Egypt.  

Online Photo quiz competition

There will be 30 Photos of various tourist attractions of India with four multiple options. Participants may submit the correct answer against the photo. The photos will be uploaded from 10 October till 20 October 2017. All photos will be uploaded on Embassy’s Facebook page (IndiaInEgypt) and twitter account (@indembcairo). Answers may be posted on Embassy’s Facebook page in comments section or on Embassy’s twitter handle or it may be emailed to pol.cairo@mea.gov.in.

Photography Competition

          The photography competition will be in two distinct categories;

(i)       For those who have travelled to India as a tourist/visitor

(ii)      For those who  have  visited   India  as Know-India Programme participant or ITEC/ICCR/IAFS-III Scholarship holder:

You can post your photos, related to India and taken in India on your own Facebook page tagging to Embassy’s Facebook page or send your photos on email to pol.cairo@mea.gov.in, with a write-up of upto 100 words on your travel experience in India.

Award/Prize

Three winners from each competition will be honoured  on  25 October  2017  by the Ambassador of India  and would be awarded exciting prizes.

General Terms & Conditions:

(i)   Answers of photo quiz competition may only be posted on Embassy's Facebook page or Embassy’s twitter handle @indembcairo.

(ii)      Only participant’s own photos would be accepted in photography competition. 

(iii)     Decision on selection of entries and awarding of prizes will solely rest with the Embassy of India.  However, an independent jury will be deciding the awards.

(iv)    Embassy of India in Cairo reserves the right to amend/cancel any or all parts of the competition at any time without any further notice.
